Retired Teachers Needed for Tutoring Service
Bright Start Tutoring is an in-home tutoring service. We tutor all ages and grade levels, from K-12 through college level subjects. We also provide tutoring in all subjects, including test preparation (e.g., SAT, ACT, GRE, etc.). Tutoring takes place in the student's home or at a library. Because of this, tutors need access to a reliable source of personal transportation. Our tutors work from the student's school curriculum and utilize his/her textbooks, worksheets, homework, and project assignments. We tutor seven days a week: after-school, evenings, and weekends. Each tutor sets his/her own hours of availability. Each tutor also chooses the areas of Birmingham in which to tutor. This is also a contract-based, part-time/ as needed position. Tutors start at $25/hour.
